I am very excited at the prospect of going to Zurich, Switzerland to take part in this artistic residency. For me, as an Indian artist, this gives me the opportunity to experience first-hand what kind of artistic mindsets are present in Western Europe, especially in a place like Switzerland, which is a crossroad of many cultures.

As an artist in residency in Zurich, Switzerland, my focus will be to soak in the culture of the city, understand its artistic infrastructure, and learn from my European counterparts from various backgrounds about their personal stories, their struggles and what pushes them to create what they create, whether it is in architecture, film or the performing arts.

As for my personal work, I will use this opportunity to develop and expand my current work-in-performance. I am fortunate that other peers and artists will give me their fresh perspectives on my piece, so that I may take their input in order to further sculpt my work-in-progress.

Last but not least, I also want to experience the culture from the areas surrounding Zurich, away from the main hubs and the cities. As an artist who draws heavily from my inspiration of nature, I am fortunate to experience such a beautiful place like Switzerland to further elements for my piece.
