Yeah Yeah Yeah Festival 2025

Yeah Yeah Yeah is back at last!

Die deutsche Version findest Du hier.

Your favourite Zurich festival for international and Swiss dance and performance pieces is coming to you in its 11th edition, once again featuring a lineup of dancers and choreographers who transcend the borders between dance, theatre, and performance. Alongside the heavy Yeah Yeah Yeah favourites Hodworks, Lucy McCormick and Zurich’s very own Glory, local festival goers can also discover Gaya de Medeiros and Keshaw Manna for the very first time. A highlight of the festival will be dance, performance and sound artist Samir Kennedy, who will delight us with two of his own original pieces and as a performer together with Lucy McCormick. Be it by intimate encounter or relentless confrontation, the artists challenge heteronormative constraints, search for healing through grief and trash and retell familiar stories in completely new ways. From contemporary couple dance to mesmerising vocals and virtuosic urban dance, they draw on every imaginable form of expression. Expect the delightfully unexpected – sometimes explosive, sometimes tender and always threaded with radiant moments of hope. Yeah!

We can’t wait to see you!

AMBER by Hodworks (Budapest)
Defending artistic freedom in Hungary for almost 20 years. Now at Yeah Yeah Yeah for the fifth time – and more sensitive and touching than ever.
On January 24th and 25th at Fabriktheater

CHAOS BALLAD by Samir Kennedy (London, Marseille)
Cry or laugh? Either way: Dive into the grotesque world of this unconventional clown!
On January 28th and 29th at Backstein

DOUBLE FEATURE with short pieces by Keshaw Manna and Glory
Whether in battle or on stage – these young artists impress with their virtuosity and storytelling skills. The stage is set for these up-and-coming talents from The Hague and Niederglatt!
On January 31st and February 1st at Fabriktheater

PAI PARA JANTAR (Dad for Dinner) by Gaya de Medeiros (Lisbon)
Gaya de Medeiros enchants the audience with her charm. She invites us to her table where we gladly stay!
On February 1st and 2nd at Backstein

THE ACHING by Samir Kennedy (London, Marseille)
With little means Samir Kennedy creates images of pain and heals us with his beautiful voice. Don't miss: After the performance, Samir’s short film Reunion will be shown. A meeting of miserable men and morbid monsters in the fissures between worlds.
On February 4th and 5th at Fabriktheater

TRIPLE THREAT by Lucy McCormick (London)
Not for under 18s and not particularly faithful to the Bible! Radical, incredibly funny, and outrageously (good).
On February 7th and 8th at Fabriktheater
